RICHARD YONKE, MASSAGE THERAPIST/ACUPUNCTURIST

Richard Yonke, MSOM, LMT, a Licenced Massage Therapist and Acupuncturist in New York State (LAc).

I am a 2002 graduate of New York College of Health Professions with a Bachelors of Science and a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM). Earlier in 1997 I received my license to perform Massage Therapy (LMT) from the New Center College with an Associates degree. The hands-on experience was what has propelled me into the practice I have created today.

Having worked alongside an array of physicians (i.e. physiatrists, orthopedists, neurologists, chiropractors, and physical therapists) I have gained the knowledge and skill to focus my practice on pain management. Acupuncture is an ancient healing art; hair-thin needles are applied to specific points of the body to manipulate the immune system and help the body maintain homeostasis—a systematic balance of form and function. An excellent treatment modality for pain management and other bodily imbalances, acupuncture has a low rate of side effects because it uses the body’s ability to heal itself.

Massage therapy with acupuncture has many healing benefits for your pain and will relieve the trigger points, sciatica, low back, neck, shoulder or leg pain you may be having and in addition it will decrease the stress and toxin build up in your muscles.
